Davidson Joins Coaching Staff

August 4, 2003 — The Trojans are very happy to announce that Jason Davidson has agreed to serve as the new Assistant Director of Forensics. Jason joins the UCS coaching staff, after serving as the Assistant Director of Forensics at Bradley University for the past three years.

While at Bradley, Jason coached 7 individual events national champions and the Bradley squad won two national team championships at the National Forensics Association national tournament. After becoming Illinois's first person to win three consecutive IE state championships on the high school level, Jason attended Bradley University as an undergrad, winning two individual collegiate national championship titles and being a part of seven team national championships.

Jason then did graduate work at Miami University of Ohio, while coaching and teaching, and after receiving his Masters, continued to teach & coach individual events and parliamentary debate at Eastern Michigan University and Pacific Lutheran University, before finally returning to Bradley in 2000.

Jason specializes in Rhetorical Criticism, Public Address studies, and Solo Performance. An experienced coach, Jason recently directed Bradley's 45th Summer Forensics Institute for high school students in July 2003.

He replaces Joshua Miller who left the Trojans in 2003 to direct his own forensics program at Los Angeles Valley Community College.
