Schools interested in policy debate in the state of California are governed by two organizations. All California schools are potential members of the National Debate Tournament's First District. The Cross-Examination Debate Association divides its regions into Northern and Southern California. The representation for such offices is currently divided as follows:
NDT District One Chair: Gordon Stables, USC
CEDA Southern California Representative: Sue Peterson, Pepperdine University.
CEDA Northern California Representative: Kristen Tudor, CSU Sacramento
For practical purposes, schools within California often work together to plan tournament schedules and discuss matters of regional importance. This site serves as a record for such matters.
