The first step in becoming a member of the Trojan Debate Squad is successfully gaining admission to USC. Under President Sample's leadership, USC's academic programs and admissions standards have risen dramatically in the past few years. Admission is now generally described as very competitive. For this past year, USC reports that the new class averaged a 1350 on Part 1 of the SAT and that the middle 50% scored between 1280-1420.
Membership on the debate squad is open to undergraduate USC students in any academic program. Many students are enrolled in our home academic unit, the Annenberg School for Communication, and we encourage students to consider Annenberg as one of our many fine degree programs. Annenberg provides an outstanding admissions office that is available to facilitate your application.
If you are interested in applying to USC, be sure to contact our Office of Admission and Financial Aid. Their website provides a wealth of available materials, including an easy process to gain more information about the school.
